About Steve’s Nook
A blog dedicated to what inspires and interests me. I intend to pique your interest as well.
I set this blog up after reading Show Your Work by Austin Kleon. So, if you ever chance across this page Austin, thanks for the encouragement!
Book reviews make up the majority of Steve’s Nook content. But I also post about personal finance, environmentalism, fitness, and travel, among other things.
This blog is not about politics, clickbait, or spam. If I do get into personal politics, it will be restricted to my personal musings page.
About Steve
If you read, friend me or follow my account on Goodreads. If you prefer Twitter, give me a gander, my handle is @cambrio13
In the real world, I go by Stephen, but that’s way less catchy.
So, Steve’s Nook it is.
I’m a 30-something upstate New Yorker. Librarian by profession, though I don’t currently work in a library.
Outside the working world I run, read, cook, and write. I’m a vegetarian and a personal finance enthusiast.
I get excited about technology, books, international travel (foreign things in general,) the future, ideas, self-improvement, art, and self-sufficiency.
I’ve been living with my partner in Angers, France since October 2019.
